What changes
Fewer details shared · More verified directly · Less manual checking
Why It Matters
Hiring teams still depend on PDFs and manual callbacks to confirm screening results. Issuer-signed digital attestations can now be presented from a wallet and verified directly, but trust rules and refresh processes need to be defined per market.

Trusted Issuers
Decide who is allowed to issue the statement and who is willing to rely on it. The flow only works when issuer trust and acceptance rules are clear.
Minimal Result Disclosure
Define whether the verifier needs only the result, or also needs check type and validity dates. Keep underlying report details out unless policy requires them.
Validity and Revocation
Background check outcomes are time-bound. Plan how expiry, re-check cycles, and revoked statements will be handled before integrating this into onboarding.
